Before the more content-heavy parts of this website were filled out, I put empty states on a few pages. Instead of deleting them forever when they were no longer needed, I decided to put them here to break up the monotony of my more serious work.

I'm a firm believer that empty states are as important to a product as the objects that replace them. In fact, I wrote about this concept in this medium article: A Designer's Guide to Empty States.

To make sure these empty states aided in my quest to help you get to know me, I wanted to make sure that the tone of these empty states matched my personality. As you will see below, I designed these empty states in a way that was intentionally conversational, concise, and with the slightest bit of humor.
